BYU: HUMANITIES SCHOOL + EKR

Brigham Young University

Think clearly. Act well. Appreciate life and look good while doing it. The College of Humanities at Brigham Young University engaged Eli Kirk Riser to help redesign its primary online destination. The website needed to help users get the information they are looking for, educate them on program offerings and help them connect with one another. It was also imperative to make it simple to edit through a content management system. We planned the information architecture, provided a custom design and built it all on a robust WordPress as a CMS solution.

Brand Exploration

Eli Kirk Riser began the engagement with this client by creating initial logo symbols for potential use as the brand identifier. In the early stages of the branding process, Eli Kirk Riser explored color usage and typography concepts that would reflect the essence of the brand.

Identity Design

Following establishment of the final logo direction, Eli Kirk Riser’s creative team went to work on creation of a pixel-perfect logo that would serve the client in all usage instances. The final logo package includes horizontal and vertical versions, as well as usage standards for color scenarios.

Website

Eli Kirk Riser’s creative team took the client through our proven website development process to achieve the creation of a site that will empower the College to properly market its content. Eli Kirk Riser’s strategy team helped the client identify the content required for use in its site. The design team then architected robust wireframes to effectively deliver site content to users.

Website Development

Following approval of the design comps, Eli Kirk Riser’s development team programmed the custom website pages. This site was built using WordPress CMS and allows the client to have complete control over site content. The site was designed and built to be responsive, which assures it is properly displayed to the end user across all devises.
